Sam took up fly fishing on our first trip together to Alaska. We were dropped off on a lake in the middle of Gates of the Arctic National Park and she thought it would interesting to fish for a week. She took to it like- well, a fish takes to water, and she never stopped.

Sam’s easy-going way makes her an ideal guide for novices and her skill and knowledge of the river keeps the experienced anglers happy.

Most of her clients become “regulars”, booking the same days each year and many travel great distances for the opportunity to spend time on the river with her.
